Sheila
We had our monthly poetry circle in the park by the falls this afternoon. Sheila wrote me a poem right before she came:
You said to bring a chair
A poem and a mask
But what are these things for?
I plaintively ask.
I understand the chair-
For sitting and support
And the mask is for protection
So Covid wont' be caught.
But what use is the poem?
That has be distraught
It's just some words on paper
That counts for aught or naught
Does a poem have a purpose
Or do a dance or sing
Or is it just a ramble
What is this useless thing?
