Applecross

Today we drove to Applecross over the Pass of the Cattle, which is a famous picturesque windy mountain road full of hairpin bends. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good and we were in the clouds all the way and couldn’t see a thing. This is now the second time we’ve been to this place and never seen the view - obviously we need to come back a third time!
Lower down, the weather in Applecross was better and we had a lovely walk along the beach and through beautiful woodlands, ending up on an estate by the sea with pretty walled gardens.
In the evening, we went out for food again - making the most of the government’s ‘eat out to help out’ scheme. The boys enjoyed the sea food, which was caught locally in Plockton.
Back home, we discovered that both dogs had ticks which was not nice and we now need a trip to the vets tomorrow as the removal wasn’t completely successful. I also discovered a small one on my leg - horrible!! Luckily that one came out completely.
