Resting

Josh and I spent a very relaxing two and a half hours at the Kia garage where they decided to rectify the defects under warranty ........ but not yet, parts on order.

Todays photo is another one from Saturday it is a sculpture of Neptune carved from the remains of a fallen tree alongside the main road running down to Charlestown harbour.
It originally featured the head of Neptune, wearing a crown of shells & surrounded by sea creatures but age and climate has taken its toll, as it does to us all!!
The sculpture was commissioned by Sarita & Jason Miller (who live in the house behind) and carved by Peter Martin. There is a collection box to its left raising money for the local Children`s Hospice, those taking a photo are asked to donate.

Over the years as traffic has increased and the weather has taken its toll we have watched it deteriorate to the condition shown.
