Castle from the Fort....

Another lovely day for walking, so went to Grant's Fort, where the trees were full of Crossbills, Flycatchers and Goldfinches. Thistledown was blowing across the open areas, looking lovely.
The warmth brought out all the butterflies too, Speckled Woods, Meadow Browns, Scotch Argus and Small Heath.
From this ridge the extensive original estate of the Castle is visible, although these days the Castle is on the market with just a small surrounding curtilage.
