Who's the daddy?

For a lean, mean, killing machine, this peregrine falcon is very cute when it looks you in the eye. This is the dad of the Chichester Cathedral peregrine family and we were lucky enough to see him as well as one of this year's juveniles this afternoon when we wandered past the cathedral.

We were in Chichester to visit the Pallant House Gallery, which has reopened this week. As well as the permanent modern art collections, there are currently excellent temporary exhibitions of Barnett Freedman, Gilbert White and the Artists, and 'An Outbreak of Talent', featuring, among others, the wonderful Eric Ravilious.
