Chatsworth outing
We ventured into the Peak District for the first time since lockdown visiting the gardens of Chatsworth House. We booked ahead, as is required, before the weather forecast for such a hot day. Our entrance time was 11.30 and as expected everything was very well organised. There were a lot of people there but spread over the vast grounds keeping a distance wasn't much of a problem. The only really busy area was the water cascade which was a cool playground for many families, the contrast can be seen in the extra photos.
The main blip of Emperors Pool is a merge of 5 shots into an HDR effect. Shortly after this we were caught out by 2 short sharp showers that rather than being refreshing in the heat just made it feel more muggy. We had a picnic in the shade, strategically taken not too far from an ice cream van !
It was a nice day but everything still feels a bit weird somehow. The thought of the virus spreading is never out of the mind for long.
