Rare cuddles

In the current COVID world we explained to the children that we would be allowed to cuddle Nanny and Grandad, play with them, share stories etc. but we would try not to get too close in their faces and we were camping in the garden so as not to share small enclosed spaces indoors.
Max has no understanding really but is not as tactile as Anya. She has found it harder not to kiss, squeeze, tickle etc particularly with Grandad as he’s not been well. She has some understanding of the situation but, as we have all felt strange at times about the lack of normality, so has she.
It was lovely to see them both enjoying a cuddle before bedtime.
