Watch your step!!!

Still working on ideas for February's photo-club assignment - patterns. I love the open-ended-ness of such nondescript assignments, but choosing only two submissions is definitely a challenge. So I set off to the Biology Animal Museum looking for some nature-made patterns. I grabbed a bunch of shells and brought them home for some pics.

This shell doen't have the most exciting of patterns, but it does have the nastiest of spines. I have a feeling that very few sea beasts would try and eat it, and that very few vacationers would forget if they came across one in the shallows of their favourite beach...
