The cantaloupe patch

My garden is so wet toads have moved into the cantaloupe patch! I have placed broken mugs here and there for them to hide in. I read that in a garden magazine once, seems like a good use for them. I'm not sure they are used though.
We worked on the slate walk in the pond garden and cut down a holly tree damaged in the last storm we had. It was sad to have to let the tree go but it had only gotten worse and wad leaning in a bad direction. I was worried about it during Isaias Tuesday. I'm sure the cedar waxwings will miss the Holly berries come winter.
