To reach our chalet in the Gironde, we take the ferry from Royan to Le Verdon which is at the tip of the peninsula.
These 5 boats from the sailing school in Royan were being towed out into the estuary as we passed them on the ferry. Later on, they untied the ropes towing them (see extra) and presumably they were then left to their own devices. I wanted to get a shot of them properly separated, but by then they were partially obscured from view.
