A nice, quiet morning reading Time's Convert. Loving the development of Marcus' character, and things have got even more interesting now that he has met Matthew in 1777. I'm enjoying this book even more than the All Souls Trilogy. The best vampire series since Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles.
Stumbled across a small half price book sale in Junkado this afternoon. Delighted to find Shigeru Mizuki's Onward Towards Our Noble Deaths. If it's even half as good as his 2,000 page Showa epic then I will enjoy this no end.
I have Terry Pratchett and Stephen Baxter's The Long War in my cupboard waiting to be read, so now I have The Long Cosmos to read as well if I enjoy it.
I loved the Ryan Gosling movie The First Man. I am sure the book upon which the film is based will be even better. I read James R. Hansen's preface on the train ride home in which he wrote that Neil Armstrong told him he would never sign any copies of this book because, "It is your book, not mine." That's despite providing fifty-five hours worth of recorded interviews over a three year period. True to his word, he wouldn't even sign the author's copy. So typically self-effacing and resolute.
