We hosted a little afternoon tea...

...to wish Helen's mum Happy Birthday... she's well into her 90s and sharp as a tack...
Pity the sun hadn't shone a bit more, but we were chatting so much we didn't really notice! I almost forgot to take a picture, but here's the empty plates at the end of the afternoon - we even got the China tea set out  ;) 

The extra collage is from our walk to Scout Dyke yesterday evening - we went out at about 8pm and it was still warm, but the nights are definitely drawing in... The sun was setting on our way back, and lots of little bats were flying between the trees as we approached our reservoir at the end of the walk - lovely sight!
