Today I was over at Hodge Close running what we dub the 'Lakeland Legend Challenge'. Think water, caves, tunnels, underwater sumps in the dark, abseils and a tyrolean traverse. Seems it may be the last time it gets run for a while though as angry locals have succeeded in the road being close from later next week. Not surprising though. At 8.15am this morning there were tents everywhere, litter everywhere, shit everywhere (yeah, literally) and idiots everywhere too. The Lakes is suffering at the moment.
