Brimstone
The sun finally appeared for us! We raced off to walk the butterfly transects and I saw two Brimstone butterflies feeding on knapweed, a very valuable nectar source at this time of year.
But better than that, when we got home there were two Brimstone butterflies in our garden! We imagine they must be home bred, from the female we saw egg laying in the spring. So that’s a good result from the sunny weather we had. Hoping to see more!
