A Grand Day Out
A beautiful day, too hot really for a lengthy car journey but my pal and I headed north up the A9 to visit her cousin and family who, in the past couple weeks of years moved from Yorkshire up to the Scottish highlands.
Their stone cottage is reached by driving across a river and then over some rather rough terrain. Fortunately we were driven across the water in a vehicle more suited to the rugged conditions.
We stopped at the House of Bruar to stretch our legs and have a bit of a wander ... very busy and very expensive but at least the 'facilities' were free! Feeling refreshed and more comfortable we continued our journey for a few more miles.
