The smaller of these 2 kereru is one we have had at the hospital for 6 weeks. She had a bad injury and wouldnt/couldnt eat. We hand fed her for a long time. She started eating so was taken back to where she had been found injured, released, and very soon a large male welcomed her back. Thats why we do what we do.....
