Tough day

We were down at the shops by 8am to get in supplies for our bbq. I even got to go onto the Marine base to collect some ‘stuff’ from my friends work. It was a very nervous morning of preparing for our friends to arrive. Love that they have Passion flowers happily growing in their garden - wouldn’t happen in Scotland that’s for sure!

It was tough, we were the first friends they’d seen since the shock diagnosis last week. Prognosis isn’t good but we’ll find out on Tuesday if they can do any kind of palliative treatment. It was good to be able to give them a proper hug and try to inject some normalcy into this awful time for them. After they left we got drunk.
