DAY EIGHT IN THE GAMES......

.. well it was full of drama today at the Alternative Olympic Games "Down Under"!

The predicted rain started yesterday and all but washed out the "party".....
but it sure did that today!
It came down in bucketloads, and most events had to be cancelled.
The course was really wet (extra one) and quite funny in some ways as Blinder the Blackbirds partner had come specially to see the Award Ceremony, and was found (extra two) busy trying to find Blinder to no avail.
The sight of Spotty the Spotted Dove in the main pic shows just how drab everything was.

The Committee had to decide what to do with the Events schedule, as the rain was due to stay around also with heavy winds again tomorrow. Given Covid restrictions etc etc, the decision has been made to extend the Games for another four days (12th to 16th). Every one was madly rebooking accomodation etc etc but all seems on track. In fact the extension may have been a blessing, as the rain has caused BIG flooding in a lot of areas so getting back home for some of the entrants could have been hard.
