Paper flowers

These flowers looked like they held liquid sunshine. I have no idea what they are -- they belong to a large urban tree. I also thought that even though they are spring flowers, their see-through paper-y-ness made them seem like they were caught somewhere in between the dried pods of last year and the new buds that are just springing up. It seemed appropriate.
