Floral attraction

Another days orienteering on the North York Moors near Whitby. This time a slightly longer course where picking routes through the heather and tussocks was key. Another lovely day to be out and wonderful to catch up with friends. Again felt safe at all points of the course and it felt good to be competing again. Again the knee brace really supported the knee so I could focus on the navigation rather than on worrying if the knee will give way.

Back to give Jet a walk and enjoyed seeing more butterflies out than in recent times. Then spent time wriggling out the old washer to be swapped for a new one tomorrow. Good to have time to clean out the detritus that always seems to gather before it arrives.

This butterfly was certainly selecting the newer flowers to feast on. The extra was a very popular Buddleia Bush.

Looking forward to a quieter evening after a busy day.
