Dawn's early light

This beautiful flag added some vivid color to an otherwise drab winter cityscape. The original shot did not look much different from this before converting to B&W. (used a .99-cent App, Dash of Color).

13 horizontal stripes: 7 red & 6 white. In the upper left corner is a blue field, containing 50 white, five-point stars representing the 50 states. The 13 stripes represent the original 13 colonies. White signifies purity and innocence; red signifies hardiness and valor; blue, vigilance, perseverance and justice.

May we live up to these values everyday and contribute to making this beautiful earth a peaceful, respectful place to live.
