First Light....

Sunrise this morning was at 7.20am. I was out of the house before 6.am. Maisie and I moved very quickly to get to a viewpoint on our route where I knew we would see the first light of the day. This is the view of the Taylor River from the culvert at the Omaka Ford looking downstream towards the distant Richmond Range. The colours were fleeting. The clear sky signaled a light frost and a sunny day to follow. It was mild.... blossom is appearing.... spring is on its way.
