Loch Striven
We had a brisk sail from the mainland (Kip Marina) across the Clyde and down past the Cowal peninsula to Bute today. It was gusting about 16-18 knots but as we were on a run (with the wind behind us) it didn’t feel too bad.
The Ards Man was very pleased to hit just over 7 knots! We sailed across the entrance to Loch Striven, shown here, but have never sailed up it. Our usual passage is to the left of this, along the Kyles of Bute, beautiful even when it’s dreich!
I’m currently ensconced ‘down below’ and being annoyed by a very
squeaky fender.
Somebody had better do something about it.
