AOG - Day 10
As we get closer to the end of the AOG, the competition is really heating up - along with the temperatures out in the stadium, I might add!
This morning the Semi-finals for the Milkweed Munching competition were underway with Team Monarch Cat in the arena (Team Milkweed Tussock Moth were nowhere to be found, probably off somewhere changing into their new costumes). Anyhooooo, this was a real nail-biter of a race this morning with both Miklos (below) and Michaela eating as quickly as possible. You can see that Miklos is slightly ahead which had the fans going crazy (in a socially distanced way)
There was a brief time out while the judges conferred about an issue having to do with Miklos possibly being over the legal weight limit. It was eventually determined that if he offloaded some weight (which you can see him doing here), he'd be within the limit. And, with that out of the way, he went on to grab the Medal for Team Monarch Cat!
Meanwhile, in the Endurance Nectaring Event, Team Long-tailed Blue is currently in the lead although the Mint Moths gave them some stiff competition. You can see Ludwilla Long-tail on the podium, HERE.
The coverage of the AOG continues to bring us laughs, thrills and spectacular reporting and performances - don't miss a second of the coverage from yesterday, HERE!
Tomorrow's tag is #aog202011
I am getting ready for a virtual visit with my doctor - I still have a monstrous sinus headache accompanied by a scratchy throat and dry cough and general feeling of listlessness. It seems to be triggered by the excessive heat/humidity lately, so hoping they can prescribe something short term.
You know the drill - be safe and be kind and loving!
