Mono Monday: Stationary

Today is my sister Janet's birthday, I won't mention exactly how old she is now, but she is still in a different decade to me, but then I am her older brother.  We have been to Janet and Incredibish's place today to enjoy a very fine socially distanced birthday barbecue.  It really was an absolute delight and the thundery weather held off for us too.

Also present was my niece SmileyCharlie and her boyfriend of long standing Rory.  They are currently living in Munich and had flown back over specially.   

There is a (colour) shot of the birthday girl and Incredibish as an extra, but the main (mono) shot is of Smiley Charlie.  I've processed the extra in colour for the golden light.  As you can see, Mark has a certain Fidel Castro look about him at the moment - he just needs the cigar as a prop ...

Although it was Janet's birthday today, it was SmileyCharlie's birthday just a few days ago, and here she is posing with a late birthday present of some dragonfly ear rings .  They are made of carved and coloured leather amazingly enough and are (as I think you can see even in mono) exquisite.  Obviously I had to ask her to keep as still as possible as I lined up this shot ...
