bimble

By monkus

back up the river where, today, an unexpected sandbank appeared invitingly, walking through the tepid water and clutching mud, hoping that my soles remained attached to the sandals and wishing that i'd brought my swimming trunks...though i'd never thought before today of swimming up here... along the shore bali is packed with folk, the resurgence of mask wearing not putting them off... the humidity clambering towards the fearsome as the broken and friendly clouds are blown away and replaced by a lurking bulk of heavy grey stealing across from the west and gathering the watercolour sun behind them, removing the intent to take the ferry over to Tamsui for sunset... another typhoon passing by later today and tomorrow, along the west coast this time, offering more humidity but the, almost, certainty of some rain to clear the air...
