Back on the Golf Course

A hot humid day

This morning I attended an NHS Zoom meeting for Volunteers. The main theme was the need to self care. Many of those who volunteer in the Hospital have been unable to do their work because of Covid-19 and were suffering a sense of loss which needed to be acknowledged.

Those of us doing Listening Service via the telephone have been busy throughout but we need to ensure that we take time away, especially if we haven’t had a holiday.

In the afternoon, we went for a 3.3 mile walk up to and through Middleton Woods. On the way back we walked alongside the fairway of a couple of holes on the Golf Course. The only difference from the early months of Lockdown was that we now have to watch out for flying golf balls.

In the evening, we have the second Prayer Meeting at Church but this time we will have to wear masks - it will take some time to get used to it.
