Today is the feast of Holy Mother Clare..
We have had a great day of celebration and only now did I have time to take a photo I thought I would let you see this stained glass window of the young Clare leaving by the door that was used to take coffins from the house she was 18 and she was known as Lady Clare she left with her servant to join St. Francis of Assisi where he met them on the outskirts of the town with the Brother’s and he gave her a tunic of sack cloth and rope for her waist and cut off her hair. Her hair is still preserved she left on Palm Sunday ,1212 I think it was. Anyway I thought you might be interested!
