One of the nice things about living in the country

Is that you can buy local produce which tastes great, you know where it's come from, there's less air-miles etc and you can support the local economy.

This week we bought half a lamb (£55) from a neighbour and we may well have lingered by the field the lamb grazed in as Mick's acres are right behind us. When I go into the butcher's in town there is a board up telling the customers whose beef, lamb etc is in sale this week. It's a topic of conversation in the pub and between neighbours!

We are now waiting for the autumn when Mick's beef comes up fir sale.

Today we went back to the curtain/fabric shop in Exeter and the curtains are now on order! At last we found the right fabric!

Off for a run now :-/
