A new yellow flower
with a friend! I was trimming some long new growth off the azaleas when I saw some yellow and thought it was very strange for yellow jessamine to be blooming now. I was wrong as what I saw was a wildflower called St Andrews Cross (hypericum hypericoides) which is in the same family as St. Johns wort. I don't know how it got under this azalea to bloom but I am going to leave right where it is. I also thought the little katydid was a good idea for Tiny Tuesday.
