The new man

Wicker man fell apart November 2019 so the in bloom group crowd funded to buy a metal man and here he is, he's called Jake after the blacksmith. The blacksmith that made him was delayed getting the steel due to the virus. Doesn't he look fab. We weeded around the plough and pit tubs whilst waiting for Jake to bring him. See extra.
I've sat in the shade in the garden, nicely cool reading all afternoon. I needed milk and was going to walk to the shop but it was too hot so I drove and did a bigger shop.
It seems I missed spectacular lightning lat night. I heard thunder several times but kept my eyes shut, turned over and went back to sleep!
