Rain drops keep falling on my head...

A wet start followed by dull and misty , followed by sunshine mid afternoon, followed by thunder, lightning and torrential downpours.
The drainers here fixing a leaky joint in the water supply pipe. Then into the field that needs the ditch cleaned out. Only problem is that the water pipe from the spring supply crosses the ditch somewhere , and no one remembers where. So most of the day was spent digging holes to find where the pipe goes.
Went away to spread slurry until it cleared up enough to haul the last 4 loads of heifers up the hill. All went well until the second load when the thunder and rain started, and kept going ! Got there eventually , but was soaked to the skin.
Back home to discover the winter barley we cut last week has a river running down one side of the shed as the valley gutter can’t cope with the amount of rain . Bugger.
And it is still thundering now at 10.30 pm. The dogs are not happy , bit like their owner, but for different reasons !
This was the hill road , running like a river , 8 pm tonight.
