Not a "murder hornet"

A member of the wasp family, cicada killers or sphecius speciosus are one of the largest wasps humans have encountered.
They are back in our gravel pile in the driveway on the island. It is interesting watching them come and go. I have to tell you they are a bit intimidating being over an inch long and quick flying. We got a lot of work done today maybe one more day and we will be done for now anyway.
