Corona Virus Update
Bahrain recorded 407 new cases, 2 fatalities and 295 recoveries today. 

Global coronavirus cases pushed past 20 million, with the United States, Brazil and India accounting for more than half of all known infections. The death toll from Covid-19, meanwhile, at more than 728,000 has outpaced the upper range of annual deaths from the flu.
It took almost six months to reach 10 million cases after the first infection was reported in Wuhan, China, in early January. It took just 43 days to double that tally to 20 million.

 Russia had become the first country to grant regulatory approval to a Covid-19 vaccine after less than two months of human testing,  Moscow’s decision to grant approval before then has raised concerns among some experts. Only about 10% of clinical trials are successful and some scientists fear Moscow may be putting national prestige before safety.
