spaces

sometimes I feel so happy for the priviledge to live at the seaside. I just had to go down there after my errands. Meeting the bright light floating through the vast space opening up behind the town hall. A crowd of shadows mingling on the docks, where the ferries for the islands hook up. Watching a swan family breaking through the thin ice on the fjord on their morning swim.

The smell of the sea. The sunlight. The cries of the seagulls.

Plowing through the crowds while taking backlight pictures of the people streaming towards me from Aker dock. A little girl with a green spade digging in the snow,- and the space around her....The spaces everywhere, inbetween that allow the breath to expand.

The cheese cake at Kaffebrenneriet is still the best.
