a grand day out

the LDWA hold a challenge walk around Rivington - up the pike, over Winter hill along Catherine Edge, over Roddlesworth and Great Hill to White Coppice and back round the reservoirs (16 miles) and a fair bit of up! We had every sort of weather conceivable but the main element of the day was MUD. There was refreshment on the way round and a hotpot at the end. SO it really was 'a grand day out' - I may even try another challenge.
PS No time to take pics as it was important to keep others in sight in poor visibility - sorry - may take the new camera out to put it through its paces tomorrow.
