Rhubarb thrust

Each winter my allotments take delivery of a lorry load of manure from the Pollok Park Higland Cows. I cover the rhubarb with it when it is dormant in November. As it heats up, it is the perfect blanket for the fruit which has been trying to push its way up for the past four weeks.
