B and Isobel were planning to nip into Worcester to buy a skirt. For some odd reason I suggested we all go to Solihull instead and have a look in John Lewis.
We walked out of JL with all sorts of stuff - except for the skirt.
B was looking at the mattresses and thought the £400 price tag was a tad steep. And then she noticed that was just the headboard. The mattress was £2000. The nice assistant pointed out that madam was looking at the top end of the range - but they didn't seem to have a bottom end.
