Nothing accomplished

Whenever I'm ill, I always feel as if I should be doing some work I've been putting off.  Lex has spent years reminding me that I'm just supposed to be resting.  Well, today my sole accomplishment was to take a nap and watch reruns of The West Wing on Amazon.  It's such an extraordinarily fine series, one I watched faithfully when it was originally aired. Watching it now, and seeing the enormous dedication and effort that go into making a democratic government work, makes me wonder how anyone could ever have believed that DT was in any way likely to do the job the way it must be done.  The Republicans have a lot to answer for.
