Hungry Hawkers

Henry on his lap of honour had been hungry for a medal at the AOG (Alternative Olympic Games) being his last chance to compete for an award as he was getting on a bit. The whole pond had stood in awe of his prowess and were now flying clapping their wings to show their approval as he zipped by. 

The penultimate day of the games had not started auspiciously for the dragons as rumours were rife that the dragon judges had at their heart a corrupt core. Charges of croneyism, partisanship and nepotism circulated stoked by fouls being overlooked, blind eyes turned to blatant cheating and worst of all Sally Southern Hawker  being physically attacked which resulted in her broken wing. The judges did nothing!! The Olympic Committee realised they had made an error of judgement with a few of the dragon judges and acknowledged that the DJ's would be dancing to another tune next year. 

Other than that the events over the pond wowed the crowds with damsels swinging from the chandeliers to get a good view the stadiums were so packed. Bigger swing in Extra. 

The events went pretty smoothly over all and even the ice cream salesman were happy with the butterfly contingent as when let off the leash from their other halves demanded more and more scoops. More luscious scoops in Extra.
