Lady Bug Obstacle Course....

....one of the last events before the AOG'S closing ceremonies tomorrow, & I was able to capture every exciting move made by Dottie, the current World Record holder for fastest time, and favored to win the coveted gold medal in this event! The Ladybugs are required to start at the top of the obstacle course and work themselves down 5 levels to the finish. While maneuvering they must show a variety of moves--both on top of the leaves and on the bottoms--without the use of their wings!! Everyone watching was on the edge of their seats! Starting with the top left, you can see Dotty has just reached the 4th of the 5 descending levels and is carefully heading out onto the leaf!  The next photo shows her "top work", and in the 3rd. photo you can see she made a daring flip to put her onto the underside, showing her delicate balance and stick-ability!  In the 4th photo she's reached the end of the 4th obstacle, & in the 5th picture is hurrying back toward the center to descend to the fifth and final level! Her descent is well documented in the 6th. photo, & the 7th. photo shows her blazing speed as she starts out onto the 5th & final obstacle! Dottie didn't seem the least bit distracted by all the cheering--she was focused on the goal--and in the final, center blip, you can see that once again she did her famous "flip and stick" move to the bottom of the leaf, and finished up with a blistering time of 10 minutes, 3 seconds, which did, indeed, win her the gold! Well done Dottie!!  :)))
