Today's the day ……………………. to think of friends

The garden is ablaze with cosmos just now.  They light up the borders with a never-ending array of all the pinks - from deepest claret to almost white.  And because I first became acquainted with them in the garden of our French friends, Marc and Marie Claire, they always make me think of them.

Another reason for thinking of them just now is that we have been watching the road cycling stage race - The Critérium du Dauphiné  - which is taking place between 12 and 16 August in the part of France where they live. I'm pretty sure they'll be watching it too and that always makes them feel a bit closer.

So this is just to say 'Bonsoir mes amis!'  Hope all goes well with you both …………………..
