Lemon Drizzle Cake

Today has been a lovely busy day. I have been digging, weeding, cutting back bushes, feeding chickens and quail, collecting eggs, feeding horses, food shopping, sewing on name tags, tidying my granddaughters’ bedrooms, (this is a treat for them while they are away, they come home to a lovely tidy room - luckily their Mummy doesn’t mind!!), driving through torrential rain and having to divert for 8 miles to avoid five cars which were stuck in floodwater, choosing eggs to go into an incubator, for a neighbour, hopefully to produce new chickens as the previous ones were eaten by a fox, and finally making lemon drizzle cake - just because.
