Common Water Plantain

There was some thunder and lightening overnight as well as some rain. Then today it has rained on and off all day. Even Dougal has given up asking to go out, as soon as he goes out the rain comes down again. The temperature was twenty-three degrees Celsius at GMT noon. 
 
I walked down the orchard to the natural pond, but despite the rain it is still dry. Maybe there will some seepage and it will have water in it tomorrow.

Today’s picture is of a Common Water Plantain, which has just opened in the small wildlife pond. It is rather tiny and I expected a bigger flower, but once again it is new and so it has never been blipped before.
