Cycle ride

This photo is not my best, but it adds to the memories of today. We went for a 26 mile cycle ride which included a lot of ups and downs which is to be expected in the Lake district. Late morning we came across a little road with a big sign saying DEAD END THIS ROAD DOES NOT GO ANYWHERE AT ALL. However, my husband looked at the map and declared that it would be absolutely fine for bikes. We cycled and walked up a very long hill on onwards until we reached 2 farms and this 'bridleway'. We navigated the bridleway partly on bikes and partly on foot and it led to a tiny village! We carried on the rest of the ride on normal roads! It was hot today but there was a breeze which made it easier.
