M5 in the Rain

Nipped out for a small shop to TESCO in Brockworth Gloucester which means crossing over the M5 motorway. It was raining quite heavily on the way there and the spray on the motorway was pretty horrendous, visibility was obviously very low. I stopped on the way back to take a photograph of it but the rain had eased and there wasn't so much spray.
It did strike me that it shows how quickly the water will disperse on these busy roads once the rain eases or stops.
It also looked a lot quieter traffic-wise.
This is looking towards junction 11A for Gloucester. Junction 11 is a couple of miles further on and this takes you onto the Golden Valley bypass, Gloucester to the West, Cheltenham to the East.

Tomorrow is VJ Day, we usually have a wreath laying but just trying to find out if it is on. Weather doesn't stop it, maybe Covid-19 will!
