Old Warden School

This was my lower school until I was 9. It has been a private residence for around 30 years now as it was closed - due to falling numbers - in 1986.
It was built in 1875 and is grade II listed, but the insides bear little resemblance to my time there. The outside still looks like I remember it.
The square bell-cote on the left hand side of the roof has a tile hung base, fish scale edged loovres and a pyramidal roof with sprocketed eaves.
It served as ventilation  for the building.
I was fortunate enough to be in the garden today and could get this angle of the roof for my blip.

A quick trip down memory lane.
