Bee-eater

This time of year, we get flocks of Bee-eater (how many words can you think of with three consecutive letters the same?!) over the house most days. Generally they stay high and so one cannot appreciate the colours. 
This one had caught something and decided to eat it in the comfort of a tree and so for a minute of two provided a photo opportunity. A pretty tropical set of colours.
DS#2 and DrS off on a local tour today taking in a market, a river and the supermarket. My role in life was to cook a curry for the evening.
