we've come a long way

This is Nutnik, the male version of my very favorite squirrel Nutkin.
Nutkin was born with a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye. See here
Nutnik, on the other hand, was suspicious of me and my peanutty gifts at first.

But today I see a hint of trust and gratitude from Nutnik.
