Saturday Staircase

There are no windows in this stairwell and it bathes for ever in sallow artificial light.
Its steps are clothed with a soft material to prevent noise and consequently there is an unpleasant and pervading smell of dust.
There are several flights of these unclean spiral stairs as they are used for going down underneath the stage where the rams are, or for moving up onto the lighting gallery and stage tower.

Location: The Main Stage, TTT Theatre, Tampere.
